It's always nice to hear that people enjoy my updates. :)

Had has a pretty open, trusting relationship with his kids, so it made sense that he'd bounce the idea off of them, at least to me. I'm glad it worked for others too. :)Vanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09325395792013382406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5454462454354598319.post-14981673225790319212014-10-14T13:53:05.531-07:002014-10-14T13:53:05.531-07:00Here a shy, anonymous fan.

Great job!

I liked that Had checked with his kids if they would be all-right with it, and I'm glad they were.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5454462454354598319.post-11507668124485472142014-10-13T12:09:24.871-07:002014-10-13T12:09:24.871-07:00I don't think there was any chance of the two ...I don't think there was any chance of the two outright objecting, but yeah--with kids of that age, it's probably not the worst idea to see what they think. Hal will get over the age gap eventually, and it's a small enough thing that it shouldn't cause issues before he does.

It's definitely a good sign that that sort of trust exists between Had and the kids! Hal will be inheriting the business one day, and both he and Honora are old enough to help out/seek other employment if need be. Neither of them have any hangups about helping Dad and Grandpa out, and I don't think Had is too proud to let them know if a problem comes up in the future.Vanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09325395792013382406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5454462454354598319.post-49182761552651670412014-10-13T11:50:26.637-07:002014-10-13T11:50:26.637-07:00Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
It's nice that ...Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

It's nice that Had consulted the older kids before he went ahead with anything. Hal's small hangup about the age gap is understandable, and it seems likely he'll get over it anyway. And, oddly enough, I liked that the kids wondered if it was something to do with the business. That they believe Had would bring up a potential problem with the family livelihood to them is a good sign.
